stealin' time

i am alive and well! still stealin' computer time at the farm.....

tuesday....my phone came to life.

i have discovered it is indeed possible to survive in life sans phone and internet connection.

not entirely fabulous but....
absolutely possible!

within two weeks i will have my access to the internet...
well...maybe...
hopefully...

this time around i have refused to allow bt and their incomparable incompetence to drive me to distraction.

i have (mostly) remained calm, unharried and at one with the universe. british telecom have tried their very best to drive me to the brink of insanity, without success...

i look forward to writing of village life and my other adventures. i look forward to once more being able to read my favourite blogs and share comments with my blog mates.

patience may be a virtue....

so...i never claimed i was virtuous!!

hello world

hello world!

difficult to imagine... i have survived without a phone or internet connection since the 12th January...
the traffic on the a77 was brought to a halt whilst new telephone poles were erected and new wires strung across... for my benefit!
a beautiful piece of work...no doubt costing bt a mint of money.
unfortunately...my phone remains stubbornly dead. the latest news promises a connection on the 18th...
or perhaps the 22nd. me...i have lost my faith in the world of connectivity, i have returned to the old fashioned methods of pen and paper and 1st class stamps.

tonight i am babysitting the farm. the sheer joy of a telephone which works and an internet connection which connects!
how did we survive?
before the internet and instant informational access...

my move went well, the past four days have been filled with spring sunshine and birdsong. the scottish earth quivers with the bursting forth of snowdrop, crocus and daffodil.

herself has been and gone. a flurry of snow greeting her arrival and spring sunshine bidding her farewell.

the village embraces me and my feet tread the soil of home.

any thing seems possible...
who knows...
perhaps next week will bring the miracle of a phone connection...
once i have a number...the world is my oyster!
i will have the ability to apply for a broadband connection...
indeed...
i hear rumours that this will only involve a waiting period of two weeks!
two weeks...hah...a mere moment in time...
